A major common trait between folk dance and tango is that they have been primarily defined by pure social practices and not by esthetic ideals (classical, ball room, etc...) or any analyzing process (contemporary). Therefor as “traditional dances”, they both answer some social and physical fondamental functions : to feel and connect. Time and society may have changed, but those needs are still present.
My pedagogy is built around this observation and generally aims first at reconnecting oneself to it's own body in an organic way, avoiding to prioritize esthetic and respecting the individuality of the being. Then comes the focus into the functions of the dances and the overall cultures at heart, understanding how to connect to others through a specific dance.
In the long run, I would hope to be able to develop a place where people can find that specific approach in different practices such a folk dances, argentine tango, swing, etc... I really think that deep down, people just want to dance.
Just like with languages, understanding common points and differences between dances of similar functional roots is building bridges between cultures and making oneself a richer being.
Playing music for people to dance on is something very specific, and magical. I started playing at the age of 14 and taught myself Irish flutes and saxophone.

As being already a musician, a dancer, a nerd and an history enthusiast, I found a big interest and pleasure into the role of DJ both in the preparation and in the actual performance at an event.
I propose to the dancers a culturally charged universe, that will allow them to express a rich range of emotions connected to this dance. My program aims to be social, creative, and respectful. And the real climax of this role, is when you get to connect with the whole dance floor and share with them a beautiful dancing moment of life.
